Pillar 04

Sustainability Communications & Advocacy.

We bring the people who write the rules and report the news to Malaysian estates so they can see it for themselves. Then we take the evidence into the rooms where policy is made.

The Work

Show, don't just tell.

When a journalist writes about Malaysian palm oil without ever visiting a Malaysian estate, the story writes itself from Brussels or Washington. When a regulator drafts rules without seeing how the industry actually works, the rules land badly. We fix both.

This pillar joins two things that belong together. Sustainability communications, because arguments do not move people unless they come with a face and a place. And policy advocacy, because the people who sit in EU Commission offices and FACT Dialogue plenaries need the evidence in hand before the next round of rules is written.

Malaysia's framework is credible and robust.

Familiarisation Programmes

We bring the people whose views shape the narrative to the place where the truth lives. No presentation does what a field visit does.

Media

Journalist Familiarisation

International correspondents from wire services, trade press, and mainstream media visit Malaysian estates, mills, refineries, and smallholder cooperatives. They meet workers, see the MSPO audit trail, and leave with a story grounded in what they saw.

UK Policy

UK Stakeholder Visits

UK policymakers, NGOs, and trade bodies brought into Malaysian palm oil operations. UK consumer sentiment and retail policy carry outsized weight across global supply chains. We meet that audience on our ground, not theirs.

EU Policy

EU Stakeholder Visits

European regulators, technical experts, and MEPs visit Malaysian estates and certification bodies. The goal: put the people who write EUDR and deforestation rules in front of the Malaysian system that already complies.

Mandatory Certification Story

Malaysia made MSPO certification mandatory in 2020. Most palm-producing countries are still voluntary. We tell the story of what that means for traceability, legality, and compliance.

Communications open the door. Advocacy keeps it open.

This is how Malaysian palm oil holds its position on the world stage.
