A townhall event was organised by the Federal Land Development Authority (FELDA) at its headquarters, Menara FELDA, Platinum Park, KLCC on 15 March 2023. The event was held to educate the smallholders, in particular those from the palm oil and rubber industries, on the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), its threat against the affected commodities including Malaysia’s palm oil, rubber, cocoa, and timber, and the smallholders’ livelihood, as well as the government’s stand on the issue.

This event, officiated by Y.Bhg. Dato’ Amiruddin Abdul Satar, Director-General of FELDA, was participated by small farmers and officials from the National Association of Smallholders Malaysia (NASH), the Sarawak Land Consolidation and Rehabilitation Authority (SALCRA), the Sarawak Dayak Oil Palm Planters Association (DOPPA), the Federal Land Consolidation and Rehabilitation Authority (FELCRA), the Rubber Industry Smallholders Development Authority (RISDA), FELDA, FGV, and MPOC.
