One of the major outcomes following the Joint Mission by Indonesia and Malaysia to Brussels on in May 2023, as well as the follow-up visit of the European Commission to Indonesia and Malaysia in July 2023 was the agreement between Indonesia, Malaysia, and the European Union to establish an Ad Hoc Joint Task Force (JTF) on European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), to facilitate the implementation process and help address constraints and limitations of producing countries. The JTF’s first meeting (Kick off Meeting) was subsequently held on Friday, 4 August 2023 at Pullman Hotel, Jakarta, Indonesia. This meeting was facilitated by the Council of Palm Oil Producing Countries (CPOPC).
